Ideally, everyone should have adequate access to the most essential elements of medicine, such as on-time medication, surgery or other 'emergency' aid.

I myself am particularly involved and interested in anti-cancer medication, which is highly developed in the Netherlands but should have much more access in other countries also. This is to ensure that cancer patients in those countries will not die far too soon because of limited (access to) care.

With innovative studies and inspiring (international) collaborations outside the Netherlands, I hope access towards appropriate medication will substantially grow on a global scale too.
